Yoga has inspired me to face life courageously and not to hide. It has inspired me to live happily with whatever I have and be really authentic.

When we all come together to practice yoga it inspires me because many different types of people come together in the class. Kids, youths, teenagers, both male and female adults but they are all really connected to each other just flowing the energy of the class. It is amazing, and the other thing is people opening up and sharing problems and trying to help each other. At the end of the day we are equal no matter what race or color or where we are from.

Yoga has transformed my life because when I look 3 years ago, I could not even support myself. It has transformed me so much. I have moved into a new life and it is much more truthful and authentic; I am not in the slum getting in trouble anymore. I have the freedom now, I can do anything and I can walk anywhere.

What a glowing smile, Walter! I teach Yoga in the US and am looking forward to being a part of the Africa Yoga Project. Over the years I have seen this practice save so many lives in so many ways, including my own. We are all brothers and sisters in one big family across the globe. Yoga helps us to realize that connection and make it our truth. Thank you for sharing. Namaste

Anthony Marsh:

This is a beautiful and inspiring movement happening in a continent riddled with so much turmoil. I am proud of anybody that can conquer the negativity going on around them to become a shining beacon of positivity! The excitement for The Africa Yoga Project that I have is beyond words. Let’s use Yoga to bring peace to the universe. Hotep
