George Acire

I have been an AYP instructor since 2014. I have been a yogi for the past five years which has pushed me to grow much stronger, mentally and physically. Strength, flexibility, and fearlessness on and off the mat are things that yoga has brought into my life, and the things I want to help my students to develop. Mindfulness is essential to my yoga practice and has helped me to take in every fleeting moment of my life to the fullest.

I am pursuing a teacher certification through Baptist and shall complete it in 2017. In my classes I teach Baptiste power yoga sequencing methodology for a rigorous practice. I use my voice as a tool to inspire and deepen my students practice. I seek to help enable my students to thrive in their lives by showing them the possibilities available to them in their own skin. My hope is that they step off the mat feeling refreshed and balanced.

Africa Yoga Project Educates, Empowers, Elevates and Expands Employability with youth in Africa using the transformational practice of yoga. Our vision is to create opportunities for youth to step into their greatness and become self-sustaining leaders in their communities.
