Africa Yoga Project teachers are reaching over 6000 people a week in the 300 free community classes.  We are in over 80 locations throughout the informal settlements of Nairobi which includes schools, orphanages, deaf centers, special needs schools, prisons, and HIV/AIDs treatment centers. We also have teachers in the Masai villages of Amboselli. Each of our 100 teachers is committed to sharing yoga with 5 outreach classes per week.  We empower them to find the outreach classes themselves within their own communities which creates connection and community.

Langata Women's Prison

This picture was taken at the Langata Women's Prison where we hold one of our 300 free outreach classes. In Kenya, children under the age of five live with their imprisoned mothers in the prison quarters. Our teachers provide yoga to both the women and the children. Africa Yoga Project reaches out to the often forgotten communities. We are known for bringing smiles, a boost in energy and a surge of vitality.  Through yoga we are elevating communities far and wide!
