Ambassador Program

The Ambassador Program is about growing, expanding and creating together.

The Africa Yoga Project Ambassador Program is a unique opportunity to experience immersion, exchange, and service within a different culture. An Ambassador's individual contribution has a far-reaching and long-term impact on our Kenyan community, while at the same time serving as a platform for exponential personal growth. The process to become an Africa Yoga Project Ambassador is selective, and interested volunteers are asked to fully commit, 100%, to the vision, mission, and philosophy of the project.

We see an Ambassador's commitment beginning the moment they pledge to be an Ambassador and lasting long after his or her time in Kenya. Each AYP Ambassador becomes part of a community that embodies our mission to bring his or her best—to the team, to our fundraising, in our global communities, and in Kenya—100% of the time. In the Ambassador Program, we are growing, expanding and creating together. 

Seva Safari: Kenya

The Seva Safari is an opportunity to spend 12 days abroad, engaging with our Kenyan community in service.

Through daily yoga classes, a community project, and extra curricular activities, participants discover a world beyond their own, seeing firsthand the impact that their contribution makes. The Seva Safari culminates in a trip to Amboseli to see African wildlife and meet our Masai friends. 

Fundraising

If the Africa Yoga Project organization’s vision speaks to you, and you would like to share the message with your community, we invite you to start a fundraising campaign. When you enroll in a fundraising campaign, we give you all the behind the scenes guidance we can to help you engage a successful campaign.

There are many ways to fundraise. If you're a yoga teacher, you can offer a donation-based class. You can host an event, hold a raffle, an auction, or even a garage sale. There is no limit to what you can do to raise money and awareness for the Africa Yoga Project organization, and we welcome your unique ideas!

A fundraising campaign is a perfect entry point for anyone who wants to become involved with the Africa Yoga Project organization. An individual can switch from a fundraising campaign to an Ambassador Pledge by applying to the Ambassador Program at any point. The Ambassador Program is selective, and only a limited number of Ambassadors can travel to Kenya each year. A fundraising campaign is a foundational step in embodying our mission and philosophy—engaging community while creating the opportunity for contribution.
