Esther started her career at a call centre in Nairobi straight after college. She became curious of a life away from the city and moved to the Chyulu Hills where she lived and worked at a bush eco-lodge with the Maasai community, and also got introduced to yoga by a colleague. After 5 years of quite an adventurous life, she decided to come back to the city. She started out as a volunteer at Africa Yoga Project and is now providing support for the M&E department. Her passion for yoga grew in the AYP community which led her to the 200 hour Baptiste teacher training program and Level 1 YOD yoga training in 2018 where she got certified. She holds a B.A in International Relations and Management. Beyond work and yoga, she enjoys playing field hockey, running half marathons, hiking or cycling, camping at the beach and spending time with her nephew and nieces.

Africa Yoga Project Educates, Empowers, Elevates and Expands Employability with youth in Africa using the transformational practice of yoga. Our vision is to create opportunities for youth to step into their greatness and become self-sustaining leaders in their communities.
