April 11 - April 22, 2017 * – Africa Yoga Project is excited to announce the opportunity to be part of Kenya's annual 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training! You will have the opportunity to earn your 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate in Kenya while contributing to our mission of educating youth from East Africa through teacher training. Our goal is to train over fifty new yoga teachers!

*See detailed itinerary below

Through this 12-day yoga teacher training and service trip to Kenya you will experience exponential personal growth, practice and learn shoulder to shoulder, with new Africa Yoga Project teachers, emerging leaders and other powerful people from around the world while witnessing the energy of the organization’s programs in Nairobi.

If you have completed your 200Hour Certification through a Baptiste Affiliate Studio or Baptiste Power Yoga Institute, you might be eligible to participate as part of the Assisting Team for the 200hr Teacher Training. If you are interested please email programs@africayogaproject.org. In this module you will learn what it takes to generate and support a program.  A master teacher is able to both see the micro view of what the students in front of them need and have a macro view of the whole program.  We will work with the skills needed to take a macro view.  This begins with what it is to be on a team.  This is where we will concentrate our learning. You will work together to create a team that supports the students enrolled in the 200 hour program.

Facilitation Team: Announced Soon! Stay tuned.

Kenya is closer than you think.
  • Discover Teacher Training in Kenya

Falling in love with Kenya has nothing to do with the tangible aspects of the experience, I fell in love with Kenya because she taught me to be the person I have always wanted to be, igniting my truth, accelerating my teaching in a way I didn’t think was possible. AYP Teacher Training gave me the ability to see the courage, the beauty, the work, the rhythm and the joy of Kenya in my own soul. The motherland pulls back hard because it is there, on her soil, with her people, I have found the strength to the be teacher, leader, sister, daughter, wife, friend I always wanted to be. The paradox is not lost on me, even though I am there to teach, assist, educate…it is the people of Kenya that have taught me how to live my life. ON FIRE.
