Unnecessary Pain!

Strange heading right?! I have been  practicing and teaching Baptiste power yoga for the last six years. During these years, my students and I have realized and experienced how Baptiste flow can be a beneficial therapeutic tool for headache and stress. Majority of headaches originate from muscle stiffness, too much cholesterol and imbalances emanating from the neck and upper back. When stress and headache set in, practicing yoga can greatly relieve both the cause and symptoms.
In yoga we practice stretching, breathing, opening and relaxation which help in the release of tension from the neck and upper back, at the same time pouring refreshing blood and energy through the body and mind.Seated twists, besides increasing circulation throughout the entire length of spine, creates a motion in the upper spine that alleviates tension coming from the scalene muscles of the neck. Expanding the chest and front shoulder muscles,  breaks down muscular imbalances and frees tension coming from the neck. Relaxation after doing a whole yoga sequence turns the focus away from symptoms of your headache and stress. This allows your body to settle into a sensation of mental and physical release.
My students and I came to a decision. We will have a  of regular practice, because it will give us access to the root of experiences that physically stop us from being in our full expression. Therefore  transforming our personal life. We find physical mental and emotional growth in yoga!

Namaste.
