Mary Akoth Otieno

My name is Mary Akoth Otieno, and I am a 200 hours certified Africa Yoga Project teacher. I have been practicing and teaching yoga for the past two years. Currently, I teach five to six outreach classes per-week.

I love teaching yoga to my community because I feel at peace when leaving my students in a space where they feel they belong and at peace with themselves through a change from negative to positive behaviors. There is nothing better than seeing my students that help to better them both on their mat and then in their life. The drive which keeps me teaching and practicing yoga is the feeling I can leave with my students and the sentiment I take in my heart; the feeling of love, connection, and unity no matter one’s social status or race.

I invite you to come practice with me and have an experience you will never forget. Please reference my attached email address and mobile number to come have fun at a class with me!
