Millie’s first class taught felt like a juggling act. It felt new attempting to remain aware of the sequence and what the next pose will be, worrying about body language, energy levels and staying conscious participants wellbeing to make sure no one injures him or herself.
It was through the comfort and community of other AYP teachers that made her belief in herself and having the ability that allowed her realize how much the program is working. Millie has grown more confident in her abilities both in teaching and in life.
Through AYP Millie has travelled the world through the Handstand, Hugs, and Happiness (HHH) Tour as well as the #HereToBe tour which was a collaboration between AYP and Lululemon Athletica. Through these trips, she gained self confidence and made many connections with everyone she met. She is inspired to speak out, live in the present and to dream big for the future. Her vision is to travel more around the world, sharing AYP’s vision.
Currently Millie is working as Social Media manager at AYP and works closely with AYP teachers in creating content for social media pages. In addition she continues to teach Kids, private and group classes around Nairobi.
